Our activities

 The Leadership Circle offers field reports – virtual lunch-break sessions that focus on one specific experience to be shared among peers. These sessions are ideal for a quick refresher on a topical challenge or to share best practices from recent experiences.

At the core of the Leadership Circle are General Counsel Roundtables, where legal leaders gather for a half-day meeting to discuss topical legal developments and share best practices. Organized both as virtual and in-person gatherings, the General Counsel Roundtables provide for an opportunity to dive in depth into specific legal developments and to discuss ongoing legal and business trends to understand the perspective of your peers and how to optimise approaches for the greatest benefit.

The annual two-day gathering of general counsel in Europe, taking place in European cities on a rotating basis, with approximately 200 to 300 participants expected. Speeches, lectures, discussions, and breakout sessions with legal leaders on topical legal challenges form the perfect basis for best practice sharing among peers. Further networking opportunities are provided by a get-together on the eve of the conference and a gala evening on the second conference day.

CPD – Continuing Professional Development is the core of the profession. The Leadership Circle offers numerous possibilities for strengthening one’s own legal knowledge and future-proof career options. Through the European Corporate Counsel Academy, a variety of courses are available for general counsel and their teams, including legal, language, soft, and technological skills.

Recent developments in the corporate legal universe are covered by concise articles as part of the online news platform “In.House Legal”, including news, opinions, statements and background analysis on developments affecting the daily practice of general counsel. A wide array of topics is covered, ranging from ESG, compliance, data protection, public policy & pegulation to legal operations and legal tech.

 Further publications include Blue Papers that focus on a selected topic and offer a valuable “how-to-succeed” report for general counsel.

Comprehensive topics, major European developments and mega-trends for corporate legal departments are covered in extensive surveys and studies as part of a market intelligence for the in-house legal profession.
